Studio S Broadway Educators

Shari McLeod trained in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose and has traveled around the world and back to share her talents and experiences with us. She has taught Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, directed and choreographed for 39 years at Studio S Broadway. Shari has choreographed everything from the Superbowl to the World Cup to the Miss California pageants. She is Redwood City’s go-to choreographer and we couldn’t be more honored to train alongside her. Shari has spent the last 39 years not only training the Bay Area’s most elite dancers, but choreographing for them as well. We could go on and on about Shari’s accomplishments, but we couldn’t go without highlighting some of her favorites! Working with John Carradine, Chita Rivera, Ron Mangham, RCA, Tower of Power, USA Olympics, Doobie Brothers, Jefferson Starship to name a few. She choreographed for the Super Bowl Miami for recording artist Arielle Paige. Choreographer for America’s Got Talent contestants  “Dead Off Center.” Choreographer for the “World Cup Soccer” USA opening ceremonies. Choreographed the National Tour for recording artist “Josette.” Shari has had an extensive career in teaching Dance Conventions around the country for Dance Masters of America and Dance Arts Unlimited. Shari’s talent is well recognized in our hometown of Redwood City. She is known for her choreography in the Miss Redwood City, Miss San Jose Pageants and the opening of the Sequoia High School’s Theatre, Carrington Hall. Shari’s passion for teaching dance and choreography continue to inspire and touch people of all ages throughout the United States. Many of her students have gone on to pursue careers dancing in Music Videos, Broadway, and NYC Rockettes. Her students are also teaching in Los Angeles and New York. In addition to running her studio, Shari was represented by the Marla Dell Agency in San Francisco as a plus size model for Gap Inc including Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Levi’s. Shari has been managing Cameron’s successful career in Los Angeles, helping him reach success with connections and guidance. Shari’s proudest moments are with her family, John, Samantha, Makaila, Cameron, Shuffle, Callalily and Chipper.

​John McLeod has toured the United States with Mitzi Gaynor as a featured singer and dancer for many years. He has also starred in "West Side Story", "Forty-Second Street", "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and "Dames at Sea". John has danced many industrials including Hitachi, Genentech, Novelle, Raychem Corporation, Blue Martini Software, Little Jim, Iselex, The Culinary Academy in San Francisco, First American Title and Cable Car Classics to name a few. Besides being a wonderful father to Sam, Mak and Cam, he is our reliable and patient tap and jazz teacher. The kids love him. John has had over 20 years of professional dance, singing and teaching experience. Thanks to John, he put his building and painting talents to use in our "Hollywood Room" upstairs that is used for more dance classes and opportunities. John starred in the Broadway Musical 9 to 5 playing "The Boss" Franklin Hart! Everyone knows it's great to take a class from John!

Sam McLeod has been dancing competitively and performing for the last 20 years. She's been professionally trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop and Contemporary styles and specializes in musicality. Sam is currently Head Coach for the Nationally-Ranked Menlo College dance team and works full time at LinkedIn.com. Sam is currently a head instructor, legality official, and certified judge for the United Spirit Association and loves bringing strong energy and passion to dancers around California.

Makaila McLeod is one of our fantastic teachers! Her energy and love for dance is contagious. All the kids adore her.  Makaila started dancing at 2 years old and has never stopped. She's great with Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary and Hip Hop. It's her mission to make sure everyone loves to dance and loves music. Makaila's first professional show was for the Grand Opening of "Holiday at Stanford" at seven years old. She then toured nationally as a principal dancer for "Danger Rangers" while opening for the "Wiggles." Makaila is one of our Professional Dancers that performs for large industrials throughout the Bay Area such as Facebook, Google, Montalvo Winery to name a few. Makaila was featured in a Star Wars show portraying a "Rebel" at Facebook Headquarters in Menlo Park. She was even featured on Mark Zuckerberg's facebook page!  She has performed twice in the Broadway Musical of Legally Blonde as "Brooke Wyndham" and "Serena". She was also "Mrs. Potts" in Beauty and the Beast. Makaila is our fabulous Twinkle Star and Showstars Director. She has single-handedly turned our baby classes into preschool dance class using developmental education through music and dance. Her classes are extremely successful and the parents and kids love her. She is magical when she sings and dances. Makaila is also behind the scenes on every aspect of the Studio business. We are so lucky to have Teacher Makaila!

Cameron McLeod is one of our awesome guest Hip Hop Teachers. He’s currently living in Los Angeles and comes to teach at every opportunity. Cameron has been hosting his own show on Radio Disney and is having a blast! Most recently, Cameron is on the cover of Teen Boss Magazine, July Edition, with an extensive interview about being a true “teen boss!” Cameron can also be seen on Chicken Girls, Breakarate, and Attaway Appeal. In addition to his new acting and music adventures,  Cameron excels in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. Cameron is well known in the Bay Area as having 2 million followers on Instagram and Musical.ly as CamdogFX. He is a member of the Award Winning Academy of Villains for his style and technique. Cameron was featured on Good Morning America, dancing his heart out, while winning the musical.ly challenge with Demi Lovato in New York. Cameron has been dancing professionally doing Industrial events throughout the Bay Area With the Studio S Broadway Entertainment Company. He has recently choreographed and danced with Fergie, T-Pain, Mariah Carey, Bruno Mars, Nick Cannon, Omarion, DNCE and many more amazing artists. He attended the Latin Grammys with Rachel Platten, The Grammys, and Radio Disney Awards, all the while, Cameron has been touring the United States with LA Dance Magic Company and their faculty on their dance Company as well as being their social media director. We are so proud of Cameron.

Lilliana LoGiudice is a great asset to our team. She’s been dancing with Studio S Broadway most of her life being superior in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. She sings, dances, and acts. She teaches a regular Showstars tap class and teaches every time we ask. Lilliana is on our Entertainment Company and Competition team, excelling in all dances. All the dancers and staff love Lilliana and her great energy.

Taylor Binasik is our newest faculty member. She’s been dancing with Studio S Broadway since she was two years old doing Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Acro. She’s on our Entertainment Company and our Competition team standing out as a beautiful dancer. Taylor is our beautiful Pre-Contemporary teacher for our 8-12yr olds. She’s nice, happy, easy to work with, and willing to pitch in anytime. She works hard in every dance class. We are so excited about having her on our staff!

Marissa Velez is our Hip-Hop and Twinkle Star instructor. She’s been dancing with Studio S Broadway since she was two years old doing Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Acro. She is a recent graduate from Cal Poly SLO. Marissa works for Nuro as a Recruiting Coordinator. We are so happy to have Marissa on our staff!

Kylia Stout is our newest faculty member. She’s been dancing with Studio S Broadway since she was eight years old doing Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. She’s a star in our Entertainment Company. Kylia teachers our kids Hip-Hop. Her energy is infectious. She works hard in every dance class. We are so excited about having her on our staff!

Jessica Labagh has been an important part of our Studio S Broadway family since before she was born. She does Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. She is an important part of our Entertainment Company. Jessie teachers our kids Hip-Hop. Her kindness is infectious. We are so excited about having her on our staff!

Laryssa Schaydegger Cancella is our beautiful Ballet teacher from Cachoeirense Dance Center - NCD in Brazil. Here are some of the beautiful stories Laryssa has used her creative mind in choreographing: The Snow-White is a beautiful ballet classic repertoire, funny and magical. The show T.E.R - Tribute Elis Regina, is full of energy and emotion. It tells the story of one of the greatest interpreters in Brazil. The Dancing Princesses - tells the story of 3 princesses who discover a new world full of magic and enchantment. Coppelia - is a ballet classic repertoire, phenomenally containing comedy, drama, and emotion. The Sleeping Beauty - the most beautiful ballet repertoire, has fairy's, romance, and magic. The Nutcracker - the most famous ballet show that has lots of fun, incredible magic, and emotion. We are extremely lucky to have Laryssa on our faculty! 

Kelly Onisko is one of our fabulous Twinkle Star teachers! She grew up at Studio S Broadway, starting classes when she was 5 years old. She trained in tap, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop. She has been teaching Twinkle Star classes with us since 2019. Teacher Kelly brings big energy and big fun to all her classes! She also works as an Assistant First Grade teacher at an independent school. Her greatest accomplishment is her beautiful daughter Coralyn.
